I've booked a vacation package for Disney World with a Dining plan. In order to book a dining reservations a credit card is needed. Can I use a debit card? Do they put money on hold because it's a debit card? what is the procedure when using debit cards.

    Hi Stephanie,

Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!  Yes, a debit card can be used just like a credit card for all kinds of things at Walt Disney World, including to make your dining reservations, to make payments on your vacation package and for your purchases during your vacation.  For dining reservations, it will just be used as a guarantee and your card will not actually be charged unless you don't arrive for your reservation or don't cancel within the required time window. If you'd like, your debit card can also be used to allow charging privileges back to your room using your MagicBand during your trip.  This is a great benefit for Walt Disney World Resort hotel Guests and I especially love the fact that it helps me keep track of my spending during my vacation.

Wishing you a magical visit!  If we can help with anything else as you make your pixie-dusted plans, please visit us again!
