We have booked a vacation for Mar 2022 and would like to add on additional days we would pay for out of pocket (we used all our points). How do we do that?

    Hi Stacey!

Welcome Home, and welcome to planDisney! Star light, star bright, I wish I may, I wish I might… have more Disney Vacation Club Vacation Points! How many of us Disney Vacation Club Members do you think wish for that? I know we did, and so we added on to our Membership. Not to worry though, you don’t have to purchase an entirely new contract to extend your stay. There are several options available!

Depending on the number of Vacation Points needed to book the additional days, you could consider purchasing one-time-use points. Members may purchase up to 24 one-time-use Vacation Points to extend their stay by calling Member Services.

The next option would be to pay cash for your room. I would begin by calling Member Services to inquire about booking and ask if any special pricing is available. From time to time, there are discounts for Disney Vacation Club Members paying cash for villas. Since March of 2022 is just under a year away, villas may not yet be available for cash booking, so you may be instructed to call back in a few weeks. Cash rooms can also be booked on the general Walt Disney World Website, but there would not be a way to ask about or apply any available Disney Vacation Club discounts on the room.

As long as the room type and view are exactly the same, you should be able to avoid needing to move rooms, which I am sure is a concern. If you book with Disney Vacation Club, ask them to note that this is one continuous trip on both of your reservations. If you book your cash room through Walt Disney World directly, I would also call both Disney directly and Disney Vacation Club and ask them to note the second booking, and extended stay on each reservation. Upon check-in, you should let the front desk know about your plans and that you would like to remain in the same room for the second part of your visit. While it is always possible you would have to move, Cast Members will do their best to accommodate your request. We have done this type of stay several times and have never been asked to change rooms.

I hope this helps with your planning, Stacey, and that you can book the perfect room for your extended vacation. Please let me know if you have any additional questions about your trip, we are happy to help!

    Wishing you Membership Magic!
