Hi Colleen!
Welcome to planDisney!
As long as you’re staying at
Disney World resorts and the reservations are consecutive, you’ll be able to book your
Lightning Lanes for your entire trip (up to 14 days) beginning at 7 AM Eastern, 7 days prior to your first resort check-in date.
If you’re staying at a mix of on-property and off-property resorts or if your stays aren’t consecutive (let’s say you’re staying at a Disney World resort, then you hop aboard the
Disney Cruise Line before heading back to
Disney World), then you’d have two different booking windows.
As I’m sure you’ve already figured out, at this time, you have two separate
booking windows for advanced dining reservations when doing a split stay at two or more Disney World resorts. So it’s nice to have just one booking window when it comes to Lightning Lanes!
Since each park day will be a separate transaction when it comes to purchasing Lightning Lane services, I prefer to start with the park days toward the end of my trip, then work my way backward. That gives me a better chance at snagging the Lightning Lane return times I have my heart set on.
Of course, if you don’t get a Lightning Lane you were hoping for, you can always try to modify your Lightning Lanes leading up to your trip and even on your park day, pending availability.
I hope that all makes sense! If you have any other questions, feel free to come back and visit us. We’re always happy to help!
