We booked a trip for sept 2011and are super excited since our two boys will be 2.5 and almost 4 when we go. I come to find out if we decide to keep our plans, we will also be traveling with a 3-4 month old. Is this vacation suicide? Any tips?

    Hi Maureen,

Congratulations on a new little princess or pirate joining your other pirates!  First, do not try to see everything. If your pirates know about the trip, order the Disney planning video and ask them to pick two or three things they must see so they feel like they got to see "everything".

Also, do not try to do everything! If you can afford it, stay at a monorail resort so you can just push your children on and off the monorail and then you will not have to try to juggle the children and the stroller on a bus. If you can take an extra set of hands with you to help, this will be easier also. Finally, you can rent a car so you do not have to take the transportation between the parks and your hotel.

You will also want to plan your days by picking a park to visit and then an advance dining reservation for lunch or dinner which ever meal works best for your family. This will help you take a break and decide if it is time to go back to the pool. I also do not recommend park hopping on this trip because you will have enough to do in each park with out wanting to go to another one. Saving on the "hopper" portion can help with a room upgrade.

September is a great time in the Walt Disney World Resorts as the weather is cool and the crowds are lighter.

    Wishing you a magical trip!
