I just booked my trip and the Magic Your Way Plus Dining Package. My youngest is 9.dSeems like many of the restaurants have very few items on the Children's plan(from some that I have looked at).Is there a way to upgrade her package once we get there?

    Hi Nicole,

Congrats on your Walt Disney World vacation! I hope you have a great time!

Nine through 13 is such a tough age with the Disney Dining plan. Some of these guests have refined palates and want to eat of an adult menu and others just want to enjoy a child's meal. These is one reason the Disney Dining Plan did not work for us when our children were between 9-13 because they would not consistently eat off of one menu.

The Disney Dining Plan is tied to your park ticket. If you are purchasing an adult ticket, you will be dining off the adult menu. If you purchased a child's ticket, you would dine off of the child's menu which can be limiting. You can always purchase your daughter an adult ticket and then she would be ordering of the adult menu. However, everyone in your room must have the same level of dining plan. For example, everyone has the Deluxe or Quick Service but it can not be a mix between plans.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
