Hi! We booked a trip from Feb 4th-7th because we heard that the crowds are very low that time of year. However, it seems that the hotels are booked and it has been hard to get ADRs. Any idea why?

Hi, Marisa!  There are always events going on at Walt Disney World, but there are a few things that may be making those particular dates especially busy.

I personally know of a few people who are doing the Super Bowl in Miami, but spending a couple of days before at Walt Disney World before driving down for the game.  There is also a National Dance Team Championship taking place from February 5-7.  I don't know how much this might affect things, but Atlanta Braves spring training begins on February 1st at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

It has been my experience that the dance or cheerleading competitions generally don't impact my park visits that much.  I think much of the time the kids are there, they are at their own events, but you will find rooms a bit more difficult to get.

I hope you have a magical vacation!
