We have booked a trip in Feb. 2010 to stay GV room at Poly. Very excited! We have 3 sons, DS (12), DS (10) and DS(5). I'm wondering if we should upgrade to stay Concierge. What exactly is offered at Poly? Do you think it's it worth the extra $600? Thanks!

    HI Margo!

Our family LOVES the Club Levels at the Disney Deluxe resorts. There are many benefits that make the extra cost worthwhile for our family. The extra special pampering begins even before your trip does!

Shortly after you book your trip, the Itinerary Planning Office will contact you to help arrange your dining and any special events or experiences you'd like to have at Disney. In the past they've even helped me surprise my family with a Chocolate Monorail in our room! They can help with anything from dining reservations to tours.

As a club level guest, you'll also have access to a behind-the-scenes safari at Animal Kingdom. Our family experienced this last year, and loved it! A giraffe, with her young off-spring, were just a few feet away from our safari van!

During your stay, you'll have access to the club level lounge. The lounge serves a continental type breakfast with pastries, bagels, cereals, coffees, teas and hot chocolate (just to name a few items). Snacks are served throughout the day. Evening offerings often include wines, beer, cheese, crackers, and appetizers (sometimes hot ones, yum!).  Dessert is also a great time to snack - with cordials and sweets like cookies or brownies.

Since our family eats pretty light in the mornings, we're usually more than satisfied with the lounge offerings for breakfast. If we've had a late lunch, we may choose to snack at the lounge rather than visit a restaurant.

The Polynesian club level lounge is also extra special. All standard club level rooms are located in a single longhouse with a spectacular lounge area. Nearly an entire wall of the lounge is glass and faces the Magic Kingdom. Its an incredible place to watch Wishes.

I hope this helps you decide! I know you'll enjoy the Polynesian!
