Hi there, Brenda!
Welcome back to planDisney. I am glad you sent your question to us! Dressing up in costumes is part of the fun when attending the
Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party! My family is going to the Oogie Boogie Bash this fall and we are still debating our costumes. We like to pick a theme together, such as villains and heroes, which we did last year.
You are correct that the
dress code for the Oogie Boogie Bash currently states that capes may be worn if the length does not go below the waist. Can you hem the cape to make it meet the dress code requirements? Or, can you use something semi-permanent to ensure the cape stays above your waist for the entire party? A cape that stays at the waist level is most likely fine in my opinion. However, the ultimate decision comes down to security officers and Cast Members at Disneyland Resort on the day of the party. I would be prepared to remove the cape and store it in a backpack or locker if they decide it does not meet the dress code.
There are so many fun things to see and do at the Oogie Boogie Bash! I suggest making a list of your top priorities because it is difficult to check out everything during the party. My family likes to watch the first
Frightfully Fun Parade before my kids get too tired, although fewer Guests usually attend the second parade. We also reserve an
Oogie Boogie Bash Dining Package, which allows us to eat before the party begins and then watch the parade from a reserved viewing area.
Villians Grove is my most favorite experience at the Oogie Boogie Bash! Try checking it out early, as the line seems to get longer later in the night in my experience.
Brenda, have a spooktacular time at the Oogie Boogie Bash! We hope to see you real soon!
Seasons Screamings!
