It does begin approximately 45 minutes prior to the parade starting, it's a great option if the parade is a top priority for your family to experience. If the parade is not high on your priority list, then I think you can skip booking a Dessert Party, you'll still be able to catch the parade during the event if you choose to. If meeting characters and experiencing the Treat Trails is important to you, then I recommend saving time to explore as many as possible instead of the Dessert Party. Both are great options, and you truly cannot go wrong! You will need to secure a
dining reservation for the Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party if you decide to go that route.

You'll also get to enter Disney California Adventure Park starting at 3:00 PM, 3 hours before the party begins!
