Happy Holidays, Bethany! I am SO ready to be celebrating the season at Walt Disney World. There was a Very Merriest After Hours at Magic Kingdom recently, and I had a friend who attended and shared some information with me.
The
Very Merriest After Hours runs for four hours, beginning at 9pm on party days. In the past when my family has attended an after hours event, we found the limited capacity worked to our advantage, and we were able to ride all of the attractions that we wanted to with very little wait times.
As far as entertainment, there should be a Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade twice during the event at 9:45pm and 12:05am. Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show should occur at 11:15pm as well. Scattered throughout Magic Kingdom, you will find the Club Tinsel Dance Party in Tomorrowland, the “Reindeer Wranglers” in Frontierland and Mickey & Minnie’s Very Merry Memories in front of an icicle-laden Cinderella Castle.
Throughout the park, you will find some of your favorite Disney Characters decked out in their holiday best. You should be able to locate them on the maps for the event, along with a list of the fun holiday-themed treats being offered. I have my eye on the “To Be Jolly Float” and the “Orange Bird Churro”. Don’t forget that popcorn and ice cream novelties from some of the snack carts are included at no cost, as well as Snickerdoodle Cookies and Hot Cocoa at select quick service locations.
You will also find many Photopass photographers around Magic Kingdom, just waiting to sprinkle your photo with some holiday magic shots. Be sure to add
Memory Maker onto your vacation so you don't miss out on these great photos.
I hope this helps with planning for your vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth.
Happy Traveling,
Tracy
