I have booked tickets for After Hours at Magic Kingdom in April. I'm not staying onsite.Does the monorail still run after it finishes, trying to work out where I can book my uber from, i presume I'll still need to get back to the TTC.

Hi there, Rachel! Thanks for swinging by planDisney!

While I haven’t had the opportunity to attend this event myself, After Hours at Magic Kingdom looks like a blast and is definitely on my Disney bucket list. There are a lot of great attractions open during the event (subject to change), but I would prioritize a trip on the Jungle Cruise. Navigating the jungle rivers in the dark is a very different vibe than a daytime excursion. I've done it during a few holiday parties and would highly recommend it!

The monorail runs for one hour after the Magic Kingdom is closed, and often includes After Hours events. There are also ferryboats—and occasionally buses—operating after park hours to get people back to the Ticket and Transportation Center (TTC).  So whether it’s by land, sea, or air, Cast Members make sure you have a way to get home.

All ride-share services dropping off or picking up guests from the Magic Kingdom have to do so at the TTC, so that will be your only option at the end of the night. The Minnie Van service from Lyft can drop off and pick up guests near the Magic Kingdom bus station, but they do not provide transportation to locations outside of Walt Disney World.

Rachel, I hope you have a ton of fun at After Hours at Magic Kingdom. If you have any questions or concerns about the best route back to the TTC while you’re at the park, don’t hesitate to ask a Cast Member for assistance. And don’t hesitate to send any other vacation planning questions to your pals at planDisney!

    Magical travels!
