We have booked three staterooms for the January 15-18 Disney Cruise on the Wish for a 40 wedding anniversary celebration. Is it possible for our whole group (6 adults & 3 children) to eat our evening meals together at the same table?

    Waving hello to you, Michelle!

I'm so glad to welcome you to planDisney and even more excited to hear about your family's celebratory Disney Wish cruise next year. A 40th Anniversary at sea is a fabulous way to commemorate such a special milestone!

My husband and I still have a few decades before we hit our Ruby Anniversary, but we did have the opportunity to take a big group vacation with friends on the Disney Dream late last year. We also spanned 3 staterooms, and you'll be glad to know our party of 11 (6 adults and 5 kids) was seated together for dinner each night. There are a few steps you'll need to complete to ensure smooth sailing for your group, but I'm happy to walk you through them.

First, be sure your reservations are linked in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. To do so, you'll need the reservation number, last name, and date of birth of the lead guest in each stateroom. Once you've logged in on the app home screen, click the button to "Add Reservation." Be sure your own reservation is linked first, then repeat the process to add the last name, date of birth, and reservation numbers for the other 2 staterooms in your group (you may add up to 3 additional reservations). Once everyone is added, you should see all the stateroom details under "Upcoming Cruises" on the app homepage. My travel group actually just booked a new sailing for next year, and it makes me so happy to see our group's plans every time I sign in.

Next, you'll need to be sure each stateroom has the same time selected for Rotational Dining. Our group prefers the second seating option, but you may want to opt for the earlier seating if you'll have hungry little ones who don't like eating too late. You can review or change your dining time (if available) right within the app by selecting your stateroom details, then scrolling down a bit to "Review Your Cruise Options" under "Make a Payment" and "My Online Check-In." You should see the option to Keep or Change your dining seating time. Complete the steps according to your preference and then go in to repeat the process for your linked reservations (or instruct your group to do so themselves). You can also manage your reservation details online if you prefer, but I do recommend having the app downloaded ahead of your sail date as you'll use it to keep track of activity schedules, dining menus, and more during your voyage.

Our group was able to view our Rotational Dining assignment on embarkation day, along with our table number. Don't worry about trying to figure out where to sit each night when meal time rolls around. You'll share your table information with the team as you arrive at each restaurant, and they'll escort you directly to your seats.

Michelle, I hope this clears up any confusion. If you have more questions, please sail right back and let us know.

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
