I booked our stay at Pop through a travel agent, not Disney directly. Is it still possible to upgrade or take advantage of sales that Disney might have announced since I booked? We did not book a package; we booked everything separately through the agent.

    Sara,

    That is a great question!

If you already booked a trip via an agent, then they are the ones you should go to for an answer on this. Some packages will allow them to upgrade your trip, extending any discounts or perks that may come with the change. Other promotions will require a cancellation of the existing reservation in lieu of the new one. I have seen many examples of both of these situations occurring.

I would recommend that when you contact them again that you have whatever information is handy on the promotion you heard about, including the general offer and where you heard about it. That will help them decipher if it is applicable to you.

One important note. Remember that some offers give you something, but take something else away. For instance free dining packages usually mean you are booking your room at the full rate. This can seem like a great deal, but in some instances the room discount package might actually save you more money. The good news is that because you are dealing with a travel agent, you have someone trained to decipher these offers!

    Have a magical vacation!
