Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge (my first ever at a Deluxe Resort) as the reason why my family joined
Disney Vacation Club. We were simply blown away with how beautifully the rooms were decorated and to see giraffes, zebras, and other animals from our balcony! Now, let’s talk about your upcoming stay!
Jonathan, I think the recent announcements you’re referring to are actually for
Disney’s Animal Kingdom - Kidani Village, not for Jambo House. The only reason I’m aware is because I have an upcoming stay at Kidani Village next month and saw the changes to the refurbishment announcements for that Resort, which include the closure of the main entrance, lobby, and the gift shop
Johari Treasures.
In any case, you should be all set for your trip to Jambo House! There may be some continuing refurbishment of guest rooms at Jambo House since that’s expected to last through January 2027, but Walt Disney World does their best to minimize construction noise and to limit work to daytime hours when guests are out at the theme parks. In addition, most amenities at Jambo House will not be impacted during refurbishment. If your stay does get impacted because of ongoing construction,
Member Services will contact you prior to arrival to give you some options. So rest assured, you’re in good hands with DVC!
