I booked our stay at the Disneyland Hotel and checked to make sure there were reservations available to the theme parks before buying magic passes. Now that I've purchased the magic passes why does it say the days I want are no longer available?

    Hey there Korallin,

Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for your question. Congratulations on your new Magic Key Passes

Currently, there is different availability for theme park reservations depending on the type of ticket or pass that you are planning on using to visit. Before you purchased your Magic Keys, it sounds like you might have checked the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar for standard theme park tickets. However, Magic Keys have their own Reservation Calendar page where you can select the Magic Key type that you purchased at the top and it will show you the reservation availability including blockout dates for your Pass type in the bottom section of the page.

Hakuna Matata though, Korallin! It's not that there are no theme park reservations available for April 23, it's just that the reservations haven't opened up for those dates, yet!

For standard theme park tickets, theme park reservations are currently available about six months out. This is a very recent change that occurred near the end of last year and is why it looked like there was availability for your dates in April. Magic Key reservations are currently available about three months out, so they're available through April 16 as of the time that I'm writing your answer.

This means that you'll want to check back in about one week to make a reservation for April 23. Besides the blockout dates for the different Passes, it does look like both parks have availability beyond the next week or so for all the different Magic Keys, so my suggestion would be to check back once those dates in April open up and make those reservations!

Thanks again for your question, Korallin! I hope you make some new amazing memories with your new Magic Keys.

    Have a Magical Day,
    Greg
