Hello, we have booked to stay at your Disney resort Port Orleans French Quarter next April/May 2025. Could you tell me what time the buses leave for the theme parks please? I have read something about Rope Drops happening before the early access. Thanks

    Hi Katie!
    Welcome to planDisney.

It's always a pleasure to assist my fellow guests from the UK!

I fully understand that you want to arrive at the theme parks as early as possible for rope drop, to make the most of your day at the parks.  Disney Buses will start running from your Disney Resort hotel - Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter - approximately 45 minutes before park opening - that'll be 45 minutes prior to Early Entry time for Disney Resort hotel guests.

Please check with the Front Desk to see if the buses might start running earlier than that - in any case I would be at the bus stop by at least an hour before Early Entry to ensure boarding the first bus.

For the speediest transfer to the parks, I sometimes use Lyft (download the Lyft app where you can see the cars available and their various prices - it's usually quite inexpensive) but it should be noted that the only cars permitted to take you to the Magic Kingdom entrance are Disney Minnie Vans, all other cars and rideshares have to drop you at the Transportation and Ticket Center, from where you'll take a ferry boat or monorail to the entrance of the park.  The buses will drop you close to the entrance of each park, and cars will take you close to the entrance of all parks except Magic Kingdom Park.  Disney Minnie Vans can be ordered by using the Lyft app.

As you are taking your holiday in 2025, I hope you will take advantage of the Free Dining & Drinks offer for next year!  It's too good to miss!

Please come back and visit us again if you have any further questions, or you can send me a direct question if you wish.  We will be happy to help you plan your magical holiday to Walt Disney World!
