I just booked a resort staycation for my birthday and was wondering if there's a way to tell the resort it's my birthday?

    Hi there, Elliot!

Welcome! I’m delighted you stopped by planDisney with your question for us.

My favorite part of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is choosing the perfect Disney Resort hotel for my family. We’ve made countless magical memories exploring and adventuring around the resorts, and I’m ecstatic that you’re going to be celebrating your birthday at a Disney Resort hotel!

Elliot, you can call and speak to a friendly Cast Member at Disney Resort Hotel Reservations to make a note of your birthday celebration on your reservation. The Disney Resort hotel will see the message and know you’re celebrating! Also, I hope you pick up a birthday celebration button upon arrival at the front desk! We recently celebrated my husband’s birthday at Walt Disney World Resort, and the many birthday wishes he received from sweet Cast Members made my heart feel full.

You’ll be happy to know there are some tremendous benefits of staying at a Disney Resort hotel! You’ll get to spend more time at the parks, should you choose to, during Early Theme Park Entry, and you can begin making your advance dining reservations 60 days before your arrival for your entire stay, up to 10 days! Each Disney Resort hotel has incredible theming that is unique to it, and I encourage you to check out the dining options around your resort. Some of my favorite dining options include dinner at ‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and dinner at Boma - Flavors of Africa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge!

Your Disney Resort hotel also offers a splashtastic pool to relax and soak in some Vitamin D, thanks to the Florida sunshine! And do be sure to ask the front desk about the recreation activities offered at your Resort hotel! These may include Movies Under the Stars (complimentary for Guests) and a painting experience provided for a nominal fee.

No birthday celebration is complete without a birthday cake! Did you know that you can order cakes in advance when you book your dining reservations online through your My Disney Experience Mobile App? During my family’s recent stay at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, I was also able to order a Mickey Mouse celebration cake at its Quick-Service location, Gasparilla Island Grill! It was perfect and delicious!

We hope you have a very enchanting birthday at The Most Magical Place on Earth, Elliot!
