I booked reservations for a 6pm Festival of the Lion King Tier 1 experience at Tiffins in January. I'm worried it'll be too dark for a safari if we go after dinner. Can the experience be arranged in a different order? 3pm show, safari, then dinner?

Well, Nobina, it certainly sounds like you're following Scar's advice to "Be prepared" for your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort! I'd love to give you some advice to ensure your vacation is as magical as possible!

Get ready for a trifecta of fun during the Festival of the Lion King Signature Dining Package! Since you've reserved a Tier 1 package, your experience will include:
*A three-course gourmet meal (with a free glass of sparkling wine) at Tiffins Restaurant, as well as an alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage
*VIP front row seats at The Festival of the Lion King
*A VIP guided Kilimanjaro Safari Tour.

I spoke with a representative at Disney Dining today, and I was told that, unfortunately, guests cannot choose the order of events for the three and a half hour experience. Your evening will begin at Tiffins restaurant, where you'll check-in and be given vouchers for The Festival of the Lion King show. After the show, you will be escorted to private safari vehicles for your VIP Tour of the Harambe Wildlife Reserve. In some cases, guests dine at Tiffins before the show, and sometimes they eat after the Safari.

I recommend calling Disney Dining at (407) 939-3463 and providing them with your confirmation number so they can access your reservation and schedule. The sun sets around 6:00 PM in Orlando that time of year, so if you want a daytime Safari experience, ask the Cast Member if they can move your reservation to an earlier time. When I checked today, there were still lunchtime packages available. However, Disney Imagineers have adapted the Safari experience for nighttime, and it is still super magical!  In fact, they even introduced some new animals, such as the nocturnal hyenas, to be better suited to the nighttime experience.

I hope this helps, Nobina. Hakuna Matata!
