I just booked the Port Orleans, but now I think I'd Like to try the French Quarter. Is it possible to make the switch? Which resort do you prefer and why?

    Joette,

You should be able to switch, assuming that the resort you want to move to is not already booked up. If you want to do it, call whatever service you used to make your reservations and request the change as soon as possible.

As for which I prefer, it is a toss up. In general I prefer the French Quarter, for the quieter ambiance and as it is closer on the boat ride to Downtown Disney, which is one of my favorite perks of these two resorts. But when traveling with older kids (pre-teens and teens) that I can trust to let roam the resort on their own, I prefer the Riverside. I think that there is more for them to do there, thus keeping them better occupied and making it a more fun stay for them.

I hope that this helps. If you want to send me more info about your group for a more in-depth recommendation, please send me a follow-up question from my bio page.

    Have a magical vacation!
