Dwight, it's almost time to set sail! My son is six years old and I know how excited he gets before setting sail with Captain Mickey, and that hasn't even been over his birthday. Based on that, I can only imagine that you have one very thrilled almost six year old grandson bouncing around your house at this point! Bring on sail day!
To register him for the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab, you'll need to
log into your cruise reservation online. There you can view a number of picture boxes under "My Reservations". One of these is "Fun Aboard the Disney Dream" (or whichever ship you'll be on). On that box, it says "View/Edit Child Registration". Click on that and it will walk you through registering your grandson for the clubs. If he is actually on another reservation number with his parents, not linked to yours, his parents can complete this during their online check-in process. But, if you do have him linked to your reservation, go ahead and fill out the form, including listing which adults are authorized to drop him off and pick him up, and setting up a password that you'll provide each time you pick him up from the clubs. Read and sign the form then click "Register." He's all set! While you're on there, be sure you've completed your Online Check-In and you've printed your boarding documents to bring to the port.
Once you arrive at the port, if you have extra time before boarding, go ahead and get in the Youth Club registration line in the port terminal to pick up his Oceaneer Band. He'll wear this throughout the cruise to check in and out of the clubs. If, however, the line is super long at the Youth Club registration spot in the terminal, just skip it. Don't worry! You can pick up his Oceaneer Band during Open House at the clubs on the ship that afternoon.
Enjoy these last few weeks of planning and packing, and have a magical cruise with your family!
