    i booked for 6/13 @ POLY for 7 nights..i wanted AK but i couldnt fit a party of 5 w/o breaking the bank! i liked the CR but at the end i choose the POLY. was the right choice made? this is the first time for my kids n mother..i want to make it magical

    I think if you asked all of the Moms and Dads on the Panel, you might get 50 different answers! Which is the 'right' resort is hard to say, since everyone has their own preferences. Here is what I can tell you: Even the 'worst' day at Disney is pretty darn good! We have never had a stay that left us disappointed and wising we hadn't come.

    The Polynesian Resort has very large and spacious rooms, which is a big selling point for a family of five, and nice balconies or patios where you can enjoy the scenery. It is also extremely convenient, with a monorail directly to the Magic Kingdom and a monorail switch to Epcot. It has beautiful grounds, a lovely beach, and great views of the Magic Kingdom. My kids love the pool there, and we enjoyed watching Wishes from the beach or pool since the accompanying music is piped in.

    My daughters would tell you that their favorite thing about staying there is the leis...they are handed out to guests in the lobby, and it definitely adds to the fun tropical atmosphere of the resort. Made me want a fruity drink in hand! I would tell you that proximity to 'Ohana is my favorite thing about the Poly - we love dinner at this restaurant, and the Kona Cafe next door is famous for it's Tonga Toast breakfast.

    I hope that all of that has you excited! I think you will have a wonderful and magical visit, and I hope that the rest of your family enjoys their first trip!
