I booked for Pixar Place Hotel bet Jun 5-7. I purchased two day tickets for park. I want to spend my park reservation for Jun 6 and 7th. Can I check in to the hotel without spending park reservation? Or do I need to buy three day tickets to check in?

Hello Ji Eun and welcome to planDisney—where the magic of Pixar comes alive! I recently stayed at the Pixar Place Hotel and it quickly became one of my favorites. I am thrilled you will have an opportunity to spend your trip surrounded by Pixar Pals.

I have some good news to start your trip off right! A theme park reservation is not required to check in to any of the Disneyland Resort Hotels. The hotels are all located just outside of Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, making them incredibly convenient for quick access to the magic. Thus, as you mentioned, you do not need to use one of your two-day park tickets on your arrival date. Instead, you can arrive on June 5th, rest up, and hit the ground running on June 6th and 7th.

Having stayed at the Pixar Place Hotel, I do have a couple of Q-Tips for you! First, be sure to visit the Pool Deck area. Not only is there a pool, waterslide, whirlpool, and splash pad for little ones, but it also has Pixar Shorts court, where you can play games inspired by beloved animated shorts like "La Luna" and "Bao." Also, the deck is a fantastic spot to lounge and watch the fireworks show. And don’t forget to be on the lookout as Bing Bong has been known to make appearances near the Pixar Shorts court or during special character moments around the hotel.

One other tip I want to mention is the special entrance into Disney California Adventure only available to hotel guests. The entrance is located directly across the street from the Pixar Place Hotel and drops you right into Pixar Pier. As a hotel guest, you also have early entry into the parks on select days so you can utilize this entrance to get a head start on your adventures. I was so grateful for this entrance at the end of a full theme park as it allowed us to head back to our hotel room much quicker.

Ji Eun, you are going to have the best time at the Pixar Place Hotel. Don’t forget to check out the Great Maple Modern American Eatery for some tasty treats. If you have any questions as you prepare for your trip, please reach out to me or any of the other panelists here at planDisney

To Infinity and Beyond. May your stay at the Pixar Place Hotel be as magical as your favorite Pixar adventures!
