Welcome to planDisney, Abigail! I’m so glad you stopped by with this question as you’re putting the finishing touches on your Disneyland plans. Let’s make sure everything is squared away before you head through those gates.
If you’re visiting as a
Magic Key holder, you’re all set when it comes to
park hopping. Every Magic Key tier automatically includes park hopping privileges. You’ll still need to make a reservation for your starting park, but after 11:00 a.m., you’re welcome to cross the Esplanade and begin enjoying the other park. From that point on, you can move back and forth between
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park as often as you’d like (subject to park capacity).
If you’re asking because you may have a separate theme park ticket linked to your account and want to confirm whether it includes the park hopper option, you can easily check in the
Disneyland app. Open the app, tap the three horizontal lines in the lower-right corner, and select the “Tickets and Passes” tile. Choose the ticket in question, and just above the barcode you’ll see the ticket type listed. If it says “Park Hopper Ticket,” you’re good to go. As long as you also have a valid park reservation for your starting park, you’ll be able to hop beginning at 11:00 a.m.
If you discover that your ticket is a one-park-per-day ticket and you’d prefer the flexibility of park hopping, you can upgrade. The easiest way to do this is by speaking directly with a Cast Member. You can call the
Disneyland Tickets line ahead of your visit. A Cast Member will review your ticket, confirm availability for your date, and collect the price difference at the time of the upgrade.
Abigail, I hope this helps you feel completely confident about your plans. If you have any additional questions or would like any tips for your Disney day, please visit us here again at planDisney.
Have a magical visit!
David
