Hi Alex!
Welcome to planDisney! I'm excited to hear about your upcoming trip to the Walt Disney World Resort! Anytime you have the chance to extend your stay, the answer is always a yes in my book!
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is the perfect place to begin your trip. It's my family's favorite resort and one that we visit quite often. It's also a great place to spend a full resort day lounging by the pool and dining at one of the fantastic locations onsite.
Alex, if your ticket package is linked to your Coronado Springs Resort reservation, you'll most likely have to wait until seven days before your check-in day at this resort to purchase
Lightning Lanes. Since the Polynesian Village Resort reservation was added after the fact, and no ticket package was linked to that day, the system may not allow you to begin ahead of this reservation. However, I suggest logging on seven days before June 21st, just to see if it does, so you do not miss out on booking Lightning Lanes as early as possible.
Regardless, you will still have
plenty of time in advance to secure the return times you want for the attractions you are planning to book. All Guests who are not staying in a Disney Resorts hotel or other select hotels will need to wait until three days in advance of their ticket package to begin purchasing Lightning Lanes. This will give you several days ahead of others to plan your park days. I just returned from a recent stay, and we were able to book just about everything we were hoping to by taking advantage of this Disney Resorts perk.
Alex, I hope you have a magical time with your family this summer!
