Hiya Claire! Welcome back to planDisney!
I'm excited to hear about your upcoming holiday to the
Walt Disney World Resort! You've picked two fantastic resorts to stay at during this extended trip. My family loves splitting time between multiple Disney Resorts hotels as often as we can. It not only allows us to experience more during our stay, but it can easily feel like two vacations in one!
I have some good news and not so good news for you, Claire. The good news is with a split stay, you will be able to purchase
Lightning Lane Passes 7 days in advance of your arrival for the entire length of your stay (up to 14 days). This will give you a leg up on other Guests that need to wait a bit to book their Lightning Lanes. However, Guests visiting from outside of the United States will need to wait until they arrive in the US to book their Lightning Lanes. If you happen to be arriving in the US a week before you venture to Walt Disney World for your 10-day holiday, then you can take advantage of this additional booking window.
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge has been a family favorite of ours for quite some time. There is truly something special about staying at a place where animals roam just outside of your resort room balcony. Waking up to zebras and giraffes wandering about the savanna is something I will never get used to seeing.
Finishing up your stay at
Disney's Boardwalk Inn is the perfect contrast to the first leg of your trip. The whimsical features and bright, airy vibes throughout the resort create an entertaining and fun atmosphere. Plus, you're only steps away from EPCOT and a short walk to Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Claire, I hope you have a wonderful time during your trip this summer!
