I booked a package for 1/25 - 2/1/14. My 180+10 date is July 29th. Since entertainment schedules are not released until 6 months in advance, how can I coordinate my dinner reservations with the evening entertainment schedule (fireworks, etc)?

    Regina,

The truth is that for many of the main entertainment activities (fireworks, for instance), they publish that information a bit more than 6 months out. Now that is not to say that they can't change over time, but they don't change much. Only 1 time did I schedule a dinner in a particular park, only to have them change that park's schedule in a way that caused me some issues.

So you should be fine. For example, on the day that I am writing this answer, I could be making reservation for January 10, 2014. But park times are already posted through January 20th, including fireworks schedules at the three parks that have such shows. It does kind of fall to fate as to when you are visiting, and when they post, but you should see more info in time for that 180 day window to open.

There are other opportunities that simply won't post until much closer to the actual travel date, like the Wishes Dessert Party, that seems to publish information very sporadically.

So it is not perfect, but I am expecting you should see the information you are seeking a bit before your window opens. If it does not, I would go ahead and make reservations anyway, basing your decisions on whatever fireworks or other entertainment times are shown for the last few weeks posted. It is likely that your times will mimic those.

Write me back if you have any follow-up questions.

    Have a magical vacation!
