We booked Old Key West for April 19-24 which is April Vacation! (we are both teachers). We LOVE staying on the monorail line or near Epcot so we have waitlisted Boardwalk and Bay Lake Tower for those same dates. What are our chances on the waitlist?

    Hello Steven!

Welcome to planDisney, a group of the rootinest tootinest Disney vacation enthusiasts you ever will find! It would be my pleasure to offer you some guidance about your April vacation in Walt Disney World.

April is an amazing time to visit, with the temperatures perfect for enjoying the pools, but not quite as hot as the peak summer months. I highly recommend that you check out the Taste of EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival taking place in EPCOT during your stay. You can enjoy gorgeous gardens, fun topiary displays of beloved Disney Characters, and the delicious spring-inspired foods of the Outdoor Kitchens. Be sure to buzz by The Honey Bee-stro Hosted by National Honey Board for one of the most delicious sweet treats; the Local Wildflower Honey Mascarpone Cheesecake!

It sounds like you have some fabulous resorts waitlisted for your April vacation, with a solid back up in Disney’s Old Key West Resort if neither of your waitlist requests becomes available. I love choosing a Disney Vacation Club Resort in Walt Disney World that offers additional transportation options such as the monorail, water transportation, or especially my new favorite mode of transport, the Disney Skyliner! I have had really good luck when it comes to waitlist requests and I am very optimistic that one of yours will come through, too.

Another resort you may want to consider checking availability for is the newest Disney Vacation Club Resort, Disney's Riviera Resort, a gorgeous European-inspired resort with access to the Disney Skyliner. Disney’s Beach Club Villas are another great option, located right at the International Gateway entrance to EPCOT and has easy access to the Disney Skyliner that can whisk you away to Disney’s Hollywood Studios

I will keep my fingers crossed for you that one of your Disney Vacation Club Resort waitlist requests come through and that you have a wonderful time in The Most Magical Place on Earth this April. You two teachers very much deserve it! Remember that you've got a friend in us here at planDisney, so stop back by any time we can help answer your vacation questions or assist you in your vacation planning.
