Just booked an October trip to Disney arriving Oct. 14th. My husband has a hard time with crowds so avoiding peak season. This is our second trip and we have base tickets for 5 days. What suggestions do you have for which park to visit each day?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Laura! How exciting you just booked your second Walt Disney World vacation! I wish I had a little more information in order to better assist you with your itinerary. Without knowing if you will be staying at a Walt Disney World Resort and since you will be using Magic Your Way Base Tickets, I would personally recommend avoiding the park that offers Extra Magic Hours each day. Although I enjoy taking advantage of Morning Extra Magic Hours when staying on property, I usually "park hop" in the afternoon. I typically avoid the park offering Evening Extra Magic Hours as I have found that park to be quite crowded on most visits. I wasn't sure if you would be visiting parks on five consecutive days. If the duration of your vacation allows you to do so, I personally recommend planning a resort day (non-park day) in the middle of your vacation to sleep in and explore all the Walt DIsney World Resort has to offer "outside of the parks." My family also prefers to arrive each morning at park opening and then go back to our resort for a midday break when the parks are traditionally the most crowded. We then reenter the park in the early evening to enjoy the nighttime activities.

When planning an itinerary, I typically visit the park that offered Extra Magic Hours the day prior. For example, if Disney's Hollywood Studios offers Evening Extra Magic Hours on October 14, 2013, then I would visit that park on October 15, 2013. Follow the link I have provided to view the park hours for your specific dates of travel. I hope this information is helpful in planing your itinerary. If you would like to write me back with a little more information such as your length of stay and how many days you would like to visit each specific park, I can help create a more customized itinerary for you. Best wishes for a magical trip, Laura!
    Happy Planning,
