I just booked a 4 night cruise on the Magic for Feb 2014 - this will be my second cruise. I sailed on the Dream in Feb 2012 and loved it! Can you tell me if there is a character breakfast on the Magic? Or if the Magic does something the Dream doesn't do

Welcome aboard, Jean! I'm so thrilled that you enjoyed the Dream so much this year that you've re-booked and want to sail again with Disney on the Magic. That sounds similar to our family's beginnings with Disney Cruise Line. We sailed the Dream first, and then our next cruise was on the Wonder. We were worried that we'd be disappointed sailing the smaller Wonder after having experienced the beautiful, stately, technologically amazing Dream. However, we were in for a shock, as I must say we had even more fun on the Wonder! The Magic and Wonder are much smaller ships than the Dream and Fantasy, which makes for a totally different cruise. Our family loves the more personal nature of the smaller ships. We really get to know the Cast Members, and that can make all the difference in your experience!

I'm sorry to say that the Character Breakfasts are only offered on the Magic's cruises of seven nights or more, so you will not have that on your sailing. But you're in for different shows each evening in the Walt Disney Theatre and so many different restaurants and spots around the ship to discover. If you didn't get a chance to have brunch at Palo on the Dream, try to book that for the Magic on a sea day. I can't recommend Palo enough, for both brunch and dinner.
Check your Personal Navigator each day and you'll notice some of the same fun events that you found on the Dream, but many different experiences as well. And as you know, the ship is the best place to re-book for your next Disney cruise to save on both your reservation and the amount you deposit.
Let me know how else I might be able to help you, Jean! Enjoy the Magic!
