I have booked a 7 night cruise to Alaska starting July 23rd. I'm really unclear about tipping on board and on excursions...are tips included? How much would you tip for a port excursion (ie; helicopter tour or a Best of Juneau tour)?

Hi Anita and welcome to the Moms Panel!
Tipping can be a bit confusing!  During your cruise vacation you will receive some phenomenal service by the crew of the Disney Wonder.  At the end of your sailing, it is customary to thank the crew members that assisted your family on a daily basis with gratuities.  Your stateroom host/hostess, dining room server, assistant server, and head server are the four castmembers you will want to tip onboard.  The tipping suggestions are located on DisneyCruise.com, and you can add your gratuities to your onboard account prior to sailing, or they will be charged on embarkation day.  On the last night of your sailing, you will receive envelopes and pre-paid vouchers to hand out to the crew.  Tipping other crew members is optional, and a 15% tip is always added to your bar service bill.
Tips are not included in the price of your Port Adventure so this will be at your discretion.  We have tipped between $10-$20 per person depending on our onshore experience.
I hope you have the most wondrous time on your Alaskan adventure!  It sounds absolutely spectacular, and the memories you make will last a lifetime! If you think of any other cruise questions, please let me know! I'm always happy to help!
    Have a magical day!
