There are some amazing
Port Adventures available at the various Eastern Caribbean ports of call. The Disney Magic will take you to Tortola, San Juan, and of course Castaway Cay. I loved exploring San Juan, Puerto Rico when I was there, and would highly suggest that you take a look at the
Castillo San Cristobal, A World Heritage Site-Featuring Youth Activity Port Adventure. Whenever my family sails, we try to choose Port Adventures that not only are exciting, but give us a taste of the history and culture of the port we're visiting. On this adventure, you'll explore the Castle, have a fabulous tour of the entire area, and learn quite a bit as a family! Then, at the National Park Service Children's Discovery Center, your daughter and the other children in your adventure group will get to stay there with Youth Counselors from Disney Cruise Line (the same ones she'll have fun with in the Oceaneer Club back on the Magic), and learn about the old trade of masonry. She'll get to mold and create her own clay craft using the skills she's learned. While the children are enjoying their learning and crafting time, the parents get to spend some relaxing time shopping and exploring on their own in Old San Juan. Everyone meets back up at the end of the adventure. Disney's adventures that feature exclusive youth activities are always my favorites!
