Hi! We just booked the mermaid school for our 4 yo at the yacht club. I was wondering do they get to keep the mermaid tail that they are fitted with?

Hi there, Alison! We all remember when Ariel was willing to give up her voice to become human. Now Walt Disney World Resort is now offering Mouseketeers ages four and older the chance to be part of the mermaid world, and the best news is you don't have to make any deals with Ursula to participate!

Mermaid School is an hour-long class that includes mermaid-tail rental. Participants will learn mermaid techniques, including swimming through rings, with an instructor from the local Orlando company, The Mermaid Academy. After the class, Guests will be given the option to purchase a brand new mermaid tail that will be shipped to their home (take a look at the Mermaid Academy's website to get an idea of what they look like). The classes will be taught at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 8:00 AM and they will also be available on select dates at Disney's Art of Animation Resort and Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. If you'd like any more de-TAILS before your trip, call Enchanting Extras at (407) 939-7529.

Have a splashingly great time on your trip, Alison, and remember, " life is the bubbles, under the sea!"
