I have booked Mama Melrose Dinner with Fantasmic (8:30) and Galactic Spectacular Dessert then Show (9:00). I'm not worried about the meals but is there time to get from one show to the other or is it booked too tight even with VIP seating?

    Hi Cyndi,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! With your vacation being just a month away, I am sure you are finalizing your plans and getting excited about your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World! It sounds like you are planning to spend some time in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, which is an excellent choice, as there are so many new and exciting things going on there. If you haven’t visited Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, you are in for a real treat; with the land being so immersive you will find yourself on your own Star Wars adventure. Try your hand at flying what Princess Leia referred to as a “bucket of bolts” in Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run or join the resistance on the newest, most submersed attraction yet in Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. You will also be able to experience the newest attraction to open in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, the first ride at any Disney park to star Mickey Mouse and friends. Such an exciting time to visit!

I love a good Dessert Party in Walt Disney World as well as the Fantasmic! Dining Package, so I have also found myself torn between the two when visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Unfortunately, since Fantasmic! is a 30-minute show, it can sometimes overlap with the start of Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular making it difficult to see the entirety of both shows in one night, even with the VIP seating/viewing area at both locations. It also takes some time to make your way through the crowds to get from one location to the other. If you watch Fantasmic! you may be able to see some of the fireworks and the ending of the Star Wars show as you exit the park. I highly suggest you choose the one that your party most wants to see or book the packages on separate nights.

I hope you have an absolutely magical time during your visit in March! Please stop back by if we can help answer any more of your vacation questions.
