Hi again, Michelle!
I love going on Port Adventures, and this is one of the dangers when you have early seating for dinner. But, all is not lost. You have a variety of options for dinner that night.
First of all, at dinner the previous night, you can warn your dining team of your dilemma and ask their advice. As long as the know about it ahead of time and you wouldn't be TOO late, they can probably make it work.
Your second option is going to
Beach Blanket Buffet, which at night becomes a sit-down restaurant that will be serving a selection of food from the main dining rooms. This way, it doesn't matter what time you arrive, as you will not need a reservation.
Your third option is ordering an entire meal through
room service. On our first cruise, our daughters thought that ordering room service was the ultimate luxury. Even if you don't order your dinner, be sure to order warm cookies and milk one night before bed. Please note that while room service is included in the cost of your cruise, gratuities are not. We typically tip with singles, one per item delivered.
Your final option for eating on this night would be the quick service restaurants around the pool deck. The options will be rather limited, although your children might be happy with some pizza from
Pinocchio's Pizzeria!
I hope this helps to make you feel better about arriving back so close to your dinner time. I look forward to answering more questions as your cruise aboard the Disney Wonder gets even closer!
Happy Cruising, as always, Tracy V.
