Welcome to planDisney, Lindsay. We're so glad you're here to share this question with us. Your visit to the Disneyland Resort will be here before you know it, so let's get to your question to make sure you're prepared.
Oh, bother. I'm so sorry to hear about this. I've been in the same boat where I've booked a dining reservation or something in the opposite park before
park hopping hours are open. In these situations, unfortunately, you won't be able to hop over and enter the other park until park hopping officially begins at 11:00 a.m.
Don't let go of hope just yet though. Guests' plans often change just before and during their visits and you may be able to find a later time to reschedule your reservation for. I recommend continuing to check for openings at the Disneyland site and in the
Disneyland app. During one of my visits this summer, I was able to find a dining reservation open up on the day of my visit - so it can happen. For most dining locations, you can
cancel your reservation as late as two hours before your reservation time to avoid any cancellation fees. There could be different policies for different locations, so it's best to double-check the "Know Before You Go" section in the confirmation email you received for your reservation.
Lindsay, while this is probably not the answer you were hoping for, I hope the information was still helpful. Please come back to visit us and let us know if we can help with anything else. I'll be wishing on a star and sending pixie dust your way in the hopes that your perfect reservation time opens up for your visit. Best of luck and may the Force be with you.
