Hi Zhian!
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for trusting us with your vacation planning questions!
Well, it looks to me like you’ve done the hardest part of the planning. Choosing when to visit Walt Disney World Resort and where to stay are always my toughest choices! And I see that you booked a package with tickets, since you had just a $200 deposit!
So, to answer your question, you will need to pay the remaining balance at least 30 days prior to your vacation. But, you also have some options! Disney offers a lot of flexibility with paying off a vacation package. At any time, you can view your existing Disney Resort hotel reservations on the My Reservations page in
MyDisneyExperience. Here you can also make a payment of any amount over $20. These payments can be made with a credit card or a Disney Gift Card.
You can also make a payment by calling in. The Help Center numbers can be found
here.
One of my best vacation budgeting tips is to purchase Disney Gift Cards throughout the year. I try to buy at least one per month. These can be combined on the Disney Gift Card website, and then used to either make a payment on your vacation package, or saved for souvenirs during your vacation. You can even use a Disney Gift Card to pay for your mobile ordered food on the MyDisneyExperience app!
Zhian, you should receive an e-mail reminder at 30 days before your vacation that your final balance is due. You can also put a notification into your phone calendar so that you don’t forget!
I hope you have a wonderful visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! Please come back to planDisney with other questions that you might have as you continue to plan!
Happy Traveling,
Tracy
