    I just booked my first ever cruise- 15 night north transatlantic cruise on the Magic May 16-31. I have no idea what to pack! Sweaters and pants? Bathing suits?? Any suggestions?

    WOW!  You are starting big for your first cruise! Taking a longer cruise on a Disney Cruise Line ship is on my bucket list. The longest I've been on a ship is 10 nights.

    As far as what to pack, I would definitely include two or three swimsuits. On days at sea, I tend to spend most of my day in a swimsuit, with a frozen beverage in hand, enjoying the sun and watching the water. It's nice to have a dry swimsuit to change into. The Magic is sometimes cool inside, so I always have a light sweater or two to wear, especially in the evenings for dinner.

    There will most likely be a formal night and a semi-formal night on your transatlantic cruise. On these nights, you will see your fellow cruisers wearing everything from tuxedos and ball gowns to polo shirts and sundresses. What to wear these evenings is completely up to what you are comfortable in.

    On a couple of my cruises, I have not packed long pants, and totally regretted that decision. It is good to have at least one pair of long pants that goes with multiple tops. I would also bring along a couple pairs of capri pants and/or shorts. Most of my tops are short sleeved, and then I can carry a light sweater. And, one warmer sweater or jacket is probably a good idea as well.

    It sounds like a lot, I know, but plan to wear things multiple times and maybe do a load of laundry onboard, so that you don't have to have TOO much.
