Welcome aboard, Melissa!
Sailing with
Disney Cruise Line is always magical, but when you sail over a holiday event like
Halloween on the High Seas, there's even more spook-tacular fun to experience! I loved our last Halloween on the High Seas sailing! Seeing the pumpkin tree change each day in the atrium was so cool, and getting to join in on the Nightmare Before Christmas Sing and Scream was a highlight too! I was so giddy getting to meet Jack Skellington and Sally afterwards too! Of course, you'll want to be sure you pack Halloween costumes so you can all Trick-or-Treat around the ship during Mickey's Mouse-querade Party! My daughter and I dressed up like Ariel and Scuttle and have some awesome pictures from that day! Have fun planning your costumes!
My family also adores
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at the Walt Disney World Resort's
Magic Kingdom. That and the Halloween on the High Seas sailings are both really amazing, but completely different, so if you like Halloween, I would recommend purchasing tickets for the special party during your Walt Disney World Resort visit as well. The Boo To You! Halloween parade itself is worth the cost of admission, but there is also more Trick-or-Treating. And let me tell you, the Cast Members handing out candy are generous! Our bags were overflowing with candy, and we didn't even visit each candy station! Plus, the lines at some of our favorite attractions are much shorter, and there are some really special Disney Character Meet and Greet opportunities only available at the Halloween party. You will have the time of your lives!
So, if your budget allows for it, I hope you'll consider getting tickets for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party too! Usually the all-aboard time when the
Disney Magic has a one day port of call visit to
Port Canaveral with transfers to and from Walt Disney World is 1:00 a.m., which leaves plenty of time to enjoy the evening festivities at the party. But, please be sure to get the exact All Aboard time for your particular sailing's one day stop in Port Canaveral as that is always subject to change.
Have fun planning, Melissa, and please stop back again if you have more questions as you continue to get ready for your big adventure at sea!
