Welcome aboard, Tina! Congratulations on booking your very first sailing with Disney Cruise Line! My family and I really enjoy
renting bikes on Disney's private island so we can explore and enjoy a leisurely time. There are bikes of all sizes, including some adult bikes with child carriers attached, and some children's bikes with training wheels. Helmets of various sizes are available as well. Just show up to the bike rental area and choose the one that is best for each member of your family. As you explore, don't miss the observation tower. It is halfway through the bike loop when you go out the old air strip. Take the time to stop there and climb to the top of the tower for some amazing 360 degree views of the island! Great photo spot!
My son and I had a fantastic time snorkeling in the Snorkel Lagoon at Castaway Cay earlier this month. I've snorkeled there before, but this time we saw even more fish, and even a stingray and a beautiful sea turtle! It was amazing! We loved searching out the hidden treasures that Disney has put for guests to spot under the sea. Be sure to look for the three floating bouy spots which mark the hidden finds! You're welcome to bring your own snorkel equipment, yes. In fact, that's what we do since we own our own snorkels and masks. There are also
snorkel packages available for rent if you'd prefer to do that. Either way, all guests in the Snorkel Lagoon area must have a yellow life vest on. They come as part of the snorkel package, but if you bring your own snorkel gear, you can just ask for one at Flippers and Floats, the snorkel rental spot on the island. They're happy to lend you one for free while you enjoy the lagoon area. Have a wonderful cruise, Tina!
