Welcome aboard, Danielle! Congratulations on booking your first sailing with Disney! Disney Cruise Line strives to make sure that every guest is treated to a cruise fit for a royalty, so you're in for a really magical experience!
Most areas throughout the ship are
wheelchair accessible, so you'll have no problem navigating the halls, theatres, restaurants, shops, and pool deck with your wheelchair. Since the elevators are frequent and plentiful, that shouldn't be a problem for you either. My family and I love that there are three sets of elevators, one at each part of the ship: Forward, Midship, and Aft. Each section has multiple elevators, so there are only a few times that we've found it was a wait to get on, and that's usually right after a theatre show lets out or right as a deck party is beginning or ending. Other than that, guests are spread throughout the ship all day, so it won't be too crowded.
Are you staying in a
wheelchair accessible stateroom? If so, you'll have even more accessible features, like 32" minimum doorways, ramped bathroom thresholds, open bed frames, toilet and shower grab bars, fold down shower seats, adjustable shower heads, lowered towel and closet bars, and emergency call buttons. In addition, any guest can request other special equipment that they may need. Please read more about the
Services for Guests With Disabilities on the Disney Cruise Line website for more information, or to reach the
Special Services team with specific questions.
Have a magical cruise!
