Welcome aboard, Marion! You didn't mention which ship or itinerary you'll be enjoying when you set sail with Disney Cruise Line. But, I noticed in your question's notes that you'll be sailing on September 22. Since I also see you're from California, I'm guessing you may be on the two-night sailing on the Disney Wonder out of San Diego. If that's the case, you'll get a quick but fun taste of what Disney has to offer at sea!
Since each sailing offers different opportunities, I'm afraid I can't give you specifics on what extra activities are available for your specific cruise. However, most of the sailings will offer the Princess Gathering when four or five of Disney's princesses gather in the atrium to meet with guests. This is a ticketed event, but there is no cost. My daughter really enjoyed meeting with her favorite princesses when we sail, and even at 11, she still wants to get photos and chat with them! If you have a little princess of your own, she won't want to miss this!
Check out Disney Cruise Line's website to view the
Port Adventures, Spa Treatments, and
Adult Exclusive Dining, ahead of time, so you're ready to book, as well as some specialty
Character Greetings (like the Princess Gathering). Once your online check-in begins, log in as soon as you're able (75 days prior for first time Disney cruisers, 90 or more days prior for those who have sailed with Disney before). There, you can click on
My Cruise Activities to view each day and see what is offered.
If you find that a "must-do" activity is already booked up, keep checking back, as guests change their plans all the time, and more slots may become available. Happy planning!
