I booked our first cruise for 7 night, May 2020 on the Fantasy. I was wondering about luggage. How many bags can each person have, and can each person bring a carry on?

Hello Sarah!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I am so excited that you will be sailing with Captain Mickey on the Disney Fantasy next spring.  I hope your countdown drops quickly and you enjoy planning until the day you hear your name announced as you step onboard the ship.  My kids and I make a countdown board for each cruise and update it every day as we head out the door for school.  It keeps the excitement going after we have booked and are awaiting our fabulous vacation!

For me, the hardest part of planning for our upcoming Disney Cruise is packing!  I want to bring ALL my clothes (just in case).  I can tell you this isn't practical, but there is plenty of storage for everything you pack, including your luggage which can be stored under the bed in your stateroom.  Disney Cruise Line does offer some great packing lists for each itinerary to help make sure you bring everything with you that you may need for your sailing.  The lists also include some basic items to pack in a day bag to carry onboard so you have what you need while you wait for your luggage to be delivered to your stateroom.

Details of luggage allowances can be found in Disney Cruise Line's Terms and Conditions.  Each Guest is allowed to check two pieces of luggage for their cruise.  Disney Cruise Line will provide two luggage tags for each Guest registered to your stateroom prior to your sailing.  These luggage tags will ensure your bags get to your stateroom.  You can also carry on a day bag when you board the ship.  Be careful not to overpack this bag as it will be with you until your stateroom is ready.  A small roller bag works great as a carry on!

    Enjoy making magical memories!  Angie
