Ahoy, Kirstie!
Congratulations on booking your first cruise aboard Disney Cruise Line! My crew's first sailing was on the Disney Magic, and it still holds a very special place in our hearts. It was the vacation that hooked us to cruising with Mickey, and I treasure the countless magical memories we created on that voyage!
Kirstie, there is SO much to experience with your daughter on your Disney Cruise! Each day, you'll want to pay close attention to the row labeled "Fun For All Ages" in your cruise newsletter. Does your daughter enjoy drawing or crafts? If so, there are Animation and Craft Workshops designed for families in mind offered almost every day. There is also trivia, game shows, games, BINGO and Family Superstar Karaoke! The two of you can catch a
first-run movie in the Buena Vista Theatre, grab a pizza to watch a movie on the pool deck on the Funnel Vision or take the plunge on the AquaDunk!
If you want to surprise your princess with something special, the Chill Spa does offer the Me! Bath Ice Cream Manicure and Pedicure for Guests under the age of 13. Appointments will need to be made onboard so stop by the first afternoon to secure a spot. (The other services available are only for those Guests 13 to 17.) Another idea is to book a Port Adventure for just the two of you while your son enjoys the youth programming onboard or at Scuttle's Cove on Disney's private island.
Castaway Cay offers three options that I think would be perfect for a mother/daughter outing-the Walking and Kayak Nature Adventure, Castaway Cay Sandbar Beach Adventure or Parasailing. Grand Cayman has some great options as well!
I hope I've steered you in the right direction, Kirstie! Please let us know if you have any further questions.
