Welcome back, Lynnette! We've sailed in January a few different times, and have to admit that it is such an amazing time to escape the cold at home and head for the warm waters of the Caribbean!
Did you know that
Disney Cruise Line partners with resorts in the port areas of each of its home ports to offer guests an easy transition from land to sea and back again? Disney partners with both the Conrad Miami and the Marriott Stanton South Beach. The agents at Disney Cruise Line are happy to book these resorts for you! My family and I always take advantage of Disney's partner hotels when we sail because we can use Disney's
optional ground transfers from the airport to the resort and from the resort to the port. Plus, afterward, we use the cruise transfers back to the airport. Letting Captain Mickey and his crew do the driving and planning really makes the beginning and end of our cruise vacations magical and seamless! Even though the ground transfers carry an additional cost, it's very much worth it, I promise! Plus, they pick up your luggage from the hotel to send it ahead to the ship so you can simply take your day bags and enjoy a relaxing morning!
There may be other resorts and hotels in the area that offer their own pre-cruise transfers as an incentive for guests to stay. I believe that Comfort Suites Miami Airport North has had airport and cruise port transfers in the past, so you may check into that too, though it's a more basic hotel and not a Disney partner. However, I always trust Disney's parter resorts to provide us with the best service!
Give the agents at Disney Cruise Line a call at (800) 951-3532 to get more information about the transfers and partner resorts! Lynnette, I think you'll find these arrangements the best, especially for your very first sailing with Disney!
