Hi! We just booked our first cruise. We will be doing and eastern Caribbean cruise and our kids will be 8 and 2 at the time of the cruise. What are your recommendations for the best excursions for that age for that cruise? Thanks!

Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Deanna!

My heart is jumping for joy to hEAR you will be sailing with Captain Mickey for the VERY FIRST TIME!  There is so much magic included in each Disney cruise, I am sure you will enjoy every moment of your getaway.

There are many Port Adventures available for your family during your Eastern Caribbean sailing.  If visiting the port of St. Thomas, I would recommend relaxing at one of their famously beautiful beaches.  This is a great way for everyone, even your youngest sailor, to enjoy this port.  The Abi Beach Full Day Escape would be a great option as it has a protected beach which provides calm waters.  With this Port Adventure, you also have beach chairs and lunch included making it a worry free day for everyone!

If your family is looking for a more educational and active adventure that works for everyone, the Coral World Ocean Park by Land and Sea is another great option while visiting St. Thomas.  If your kids enjoy sea life this is a great way to view it and get some beach time in a well!  There are also family friendly cultural adventures available like Learn the Steel Pan in St. Maarten, or A Flair of Spain - Paella Cooking Demonstration and Flamenco in San Juan.

If you would like to take a more adventurous Port Adventure that your young sailors may not be able to join you on, the onboard youth clubs are open while the ship is in port.  Time in the "it's a small world" nursery for your youngest is available for an additional fee and does require a reservation.  This is just another way that cruising with Captain Mickey is truly a vacation for everyone!

Sail back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any additional questions about your magical getaway!
