Ahoy, Chrissy!
My very first cruise with Disney was also on the
Disney Magic to the Western Caribbean, so I'm giving you a thumbs up for your itinerary and ship choice. And the last time I sailed on the Disney Magic was out of Miami on a Very Merrytime Cruise so it's two thumbs up for your planning so far! You will immediately fall in love with this classic vessel and all she has to offer especially during the Very Merrytime Cruises. The Grand Lobby Atrium will be decked out with breathtaking holiday decor, which will be the perfect backdrop for your holiday photos. I was able to use one of our pictures in front of the three-deck tall Christmas tree for our holiday card that year, and it turned out beautifully! There will also be special activities and events planned so keep a close eye on your cruise newsletter, the Personal Navigator and the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for all the magical details. One activity that does have limited space is the Gingerbread House Making. Be sure to stop by the Port Adventure Desk on embarkation day to reserve a spot to create your own gingerbread masterpiece under the guidance of one of Disney's talented pastry chefs!
I looked at the sailings to the Western Caribbean on the Disney Magic in December and believe you are booked on a five-night cruise. If this is correct, you can expect one optional dress-up night, three cruise casual nights and one pirate-themed night. On our cruise, the dress-up night was on Day Two and Pirate Night was scheduled for Day Three (always subject to change). When you check-in, you'll receive your first Personal Navigator, which will list each night's dining attire for your reference.
Thank you for sending in your question, Chrissy! Please keep us posted as you think of more!
Have a MAGICal day!
