    Hi! We are booked on the Fantasy October 19, 2013 sailing for our first cruise ever! Do you know if there will be special Halloween decorations/celebrations on this cruise? Also, trying to decide if we should stay at port (and where) or WDW precruise?

    Thanks for writing back!  I'm thrilled you have chosen a spooktacular voyage on the Fantasy next fall!  Disney Cruise Line loves to celebrate holidays onboard so you will be delighted to know the ship will decorated for Halloween, and there will be some special events and activities planned!  The characters will be dressed in their costumes so be sure to have your camera handy at all times to capture some unique shots of your favorites looking festive!  A costume party for Guests is often planned for October sailings so it might be a good idea to bring along your costumes as well! A holiday celebration wouldn't be complete without ghoulish delights and sweet treats so you will want to check your Personal Navigator, the daily cruise newsletter, for all the Halloween fun!
    If you are flying down for your cruise, Disney Cruise Line does offer ground transportation for an additional charge from the airport and from WDW.  This is very convenient because DCL will not only take care of you but also your luggage! You can add-on ground transportation by calling (800) 951-3532. If you decide to stay near the port, you will have to find your own transportation to your hotel as well as to the port on the morning of your sailing.  Most of the area hotels do offer port shuttles for a small fee or it is included it in your room fee.
