We just booked a family Disney vacation for October in August. Character dining was limited, however I was able to get a reservation for 2 at the Tusker House for breakfast - we are a family 3. How big of an issue will this be for a buffet style meal?

Hi Becca! I tend to be a procrastinator myself, so I often book last-minute Disney vacations and then scramble to make dining reservations too. I encourage you to keep checking to see if a Tusker House, or other character meal, reservation for three people becomes available. Guests are always canceling reservations and changing their plans, so there's a good chance you'll be able to find one. I have sometimes arrived for reservations with more or less people than I originally reserved, and the restaurants have always been able to accommodate me. However, there's always a chance that a table for a larger party might not be available. Even though Tusker House is a buffet meal with plenty of food, you're seated at tables based on reservation size, which means a table for two in your case. Since the characters stop by the table to visit and need room to move, I don't think adding an extra chair to a table for two would be possible and if the restaurant is fully booked, one of you may not be able to get in. For this reason, your best bet is to keep trying to reserve a table for 3. I've had luck getting character breakfasts by calling the night before from my resort room, so don't give up!
