Hi, We are all booked and excited for our 9/2011 trip to WDW. I would like to know how tipping is handled when using the dining plan? Some experiences say it is included, some say nothing. I don't want to unintensionally stiff anyone, please give details..

Hi Paula! How exciting to be all booked and planning for your vacation! No worries at all about tipping on the Disney Dining Plan. You can simply add it to your room charge, or pay gratuities with cash, Disney Dollars, Disney gift cards, or a credit card. There is even a recommended gratuity posted on your bill if you don't want to do the math!

There are some experiences where gratuity is included, such as the Hoop Dee Doo Review, Spirit of Aloha and Cinderella's Royal Table. These all require two credits for dining plan guests, and you can always leave additional money if you feel the server was exceptional. Note that this could change anytime, so just ask when you check in with the hostess to be sure.

    Happy dining Paula!
