Howdy, Randy! I think you're making a great decision to book
Disney Early Morning Magic - Toy Story at Disney's Hollywood Studios, and I'm sure Sherriff Woody would agree, too! If you have your heart set on riding Slinky Dog Dash, this is the way to go. I've been eyeing this event up myself for our trip this summer, so I'll share a few things I've learned.
Disney is now allowing guests the option of two bookable times online: 7:00 and 7:30 AM. But, don't fret...this is just a way to spread out the breakfast crowds. What I was told is that guests with a 7:00 reservation will be directed to eat breakfast before the event, whereas those with the 7:30 slot can eat afterward. However, the Cast Member I spoke with said that guests with 7:30 AM reservations are fine to show up early and eat breakfast first if they'd like (and vice versa). By the way, those breakfast selections look mighty tasty (I might have to eat before AND after)!
Let's talk transportation for a moment. If you're staying on property, check out the bus arrival times on the My Disney Experience app. This is a handy new feature which allows you to know the exact minute the bus will be at your resort- and you can do all this before you even leave your room (I'd try to be on the bus no later than 6:20 AM). I'm also a big fan of using the
Minnie Van Service. This ride-sharing service is an extra fee, and it works through the Lyft app. It's super convenient and will get you there quicker than the busses- the cars are usually minutes away, and you can track their location on your phone.
It sounds like you're going to
reach for the sky during this trip, Randy! Remember that
you've got a friend in me, so please come back and visit if you have any more questions!
